Further to 'Alpinesport' & website listing -meet in Puhoi Domain, over the war memorial bridge opposite the store & Pub. A car will be left in the Domain to take drivers back to Dunn's Bush at the top of the valley. See 'Walking NZ" August issue page 14 -Puhoi track opened and Puhoinz.com for general village information. The new track was muddy last month!! Enquiries or book in: David or Marcia Roberts 418 0397 firstname.lastname@example.org LEADERS REPORT- Weather was perfect, almost no wind. Met at 10am 20 members and 1 non-member. Drove to angle carparking 1km down J Tolhopf Rd. Briefing beside Dunn's bush QEII sign, followed Te Araroa route guide to sugar loaf rock. Great views, sign about benefits of pest control. Lunch beside stream half way along Remiger Rd (by green boat). Impressive suspension bridge at start of Te Araroa Puhoi track. Muddy but plastic matting (installed within last 3 weeks) helped in worst bits. Good views from Arthur Dunn memorial of village. Finished 2.30pm and recovered cars.
